So he has made alot of progress from last evening to today..He has a long way to go, but these little steps are hugh hurdles he is overcoming..He is still projected to be in ICU for a week or 2 ....Kathy
That is great! I know it's going to be a long road ahead, but he is making progress. That is an answer to all the prayers .

it is so unbelievably touching to read all the wonderful things posted here about mark! we were with him most of today and this evening, and we are so happy to tell you that mark was very conscious! although he's still very weak, and tires easily, his true personality and acute sense of humor were right out there! just like always!! he smiles and is still able to make us laugh,,,, and he can't talk!!!
as before, he still has a long way to go, but we all feel that he is truly on his way.
he wanted us to thank you for all your love and support at this difficult time, and to wish you all a happy thanksgiving. this is not the best thanksgiving our family has ever spent, but it is truly the one we have the most to be thankful for.

I i just wanted to say that even though I don't know most of the people on this board, most everybody I meet has the same qualities. A love of life. good caring people, with good hearts. That is what bonds us. Just like Mark and Lucy seem to have. Monday Cathy and I came back from Key West. Tuesday my son, Joshua 16, collapsed at school and was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room. Today Joshua is at home and feeling fine. In short, they could not find anything wrong which is fine also. Today is a good day to hug the people you love and tell them you do. IT is the most important thing in life.
