I smelled something fishy when this guy didn't respond to my post about the air ambulance service I suggested. Then there was the whole flat lined last night, optimistic and doing better today crap. Big red flag there for me. Knew something wasn't right after that.

As my dear Mother would have said ... Oh, well.

I still see the sympathy of the members on the board as a big positive. Let's not let this sad PATHETIC jerk ruin that.

I had a couple of posts with BS, so I felt it would be a good thing to add a sympathy post on his "wife's" thread. I did it with the thought in the back of my mind about others questioning his honesty. I felt that to be a good person, I should do it scam or no. As the thread spiraled, and that is exactly what it did, the situation sounded fishy. I searched for accidents in Buffalo. I searched for articles of ex-nfl player's wife in an accident thread. Nothing. It was pretty apparent at that point something was not right. His stories and that thread sounded like an episode of ER.

Do I regret or feel betrayed for leaving a sympathy post? No way. I know that I did the correct thing. The smartest people in this world get duped from time to time. I, for one, will not let this jade me against trusting others in the future. We only have one lifetime, and it is certainly more fun to trust (intelligently) and have friends and fun, than to suspect everyone and everything.

I sincerely hope that those who are out money are able to recoup. As far as anyone giving him money for hospital bills goes as someone suggested previously, I would hope that a red flag would be waving grandly at that time. Why would someone who owns all this cool stuff need money for hospital bills? I don't think anyone here would fall for that.

I think BS is probably reading and laughing his azz off now watching everyone fight. He sees that and says "I win!!". C'mon guys, let it go. People get ruffled when they feel they've been made a fool of. It sucks, but sometimes it happens.

Oh, and BS? If you are truly contemplating death, please do 2 things.

1) return themoney

2) do it somewhere where no one will have to clean up the mess. Tie a block to your ankle and jump over the side of the Hustler. Go OD at the morgue perhaps. Just don't burden anyone else. You've apparently done that enough.

Well I just always thought he was an egotistical clown with a "look at me complex". I've seen quite a few of those in life so I learn to just roll my eyes and not get involved in the conversations. I don't need a ride in anybody's lear, or to hang with the ferrari crowd. I did however fall prey to the accident story, offering up our prayers to his family, and feel pretty stupid for it as well. Maybe I won't be so quick to give a damn next time people claim to fall on misfortune...Ah, to live and learn....hopefully anyway :mad:

Now of course with that said, anyone offering boat rides in Florida Dec9-12 well, I'm sure my wife and I would be happy to oblige ;) :D :D
