It's actually closer to 1.75:1. The drive shafts were updated and there have been no problems with the new shafts at 1500+hp. There was a tremendous amount of load on the port side drive snout from the incredible torque load of the crank.

I spoken with JT about the top end on my boat, the only way I will run that fast is if JT is on the throttles for me. I agree with the above post, you better have the Sorry for your loss and pray for all involved because someone will get killed at these speeds.
And Cuda you asked why I cared if he was running 178 in an open cockpit boat, simple when bad things happen it makes the news and it has a bad effect on all of us.
One last note, Leon and Art are claiming a potential top end of 225 MPH in their new 36 Skater and yes it has a canopy.
I spoken with JT about the top end on my boat, the only way I will run that fast is if JT is on the throttles for me. I agree with the above post, you better have the Sorry for your loss and pray for all involved because someone will get killed at these speeds.

3 Of My Friends Were Killed In A Skater At Speeds Way Less Then That Please Take Every Precauton...178 With 4 People Is Way Nuts And No Canopy....your Head Will Seperate From Your Body Like A Potato Chip............
