Question 496 Winter upgrades

I have seen a lot of 496 questions in the Q&A forum lately just curious as to what everyones hop up plans are for the winter? Mine are headers and are already on the boat.

I bought these the other day:

And I may try and get to some billet covers, and maybe headers.

Brian, i will be interested to see if you experience any gain with those. From what I have read, and been told by two people in the club that installed them on their twin HO's, there is not difference in performance from the factory arrestors.

The stock arrestors flow better, however the K & N's look nice and probably filter better.

I have a dent in one of my orginial flame arrestors, and I just wanted a change. I doubt I will see any gain. If I go with some billet covers and headers, that will complete the package nicely.

I believe Trick stated in the CMI thread the CMI's are NOT compatible with silent choice or captains call. Correct?

That is some good looking hose on the end of those headers.

I put a set of the CMI headers on and though they look great and sound awesome I can't say I gained much from them. I have talked to Fred and CMI a lot about this and I feel very good about the deal and am satisfied that if there is any speed to find we will find it in the spring.
