The tred is like a paddle. You can slow down, turn, anything and then accelerate again. You CAN NOT do it on all sleds. I know a guy with a ZRT 800 he can pull up to the edge of the water and punch it and he is fine. He however had a guy fallow him one day on a Indy Trail and got a few hundred feet and sank Not for me I never liked going over water in sleds even if it is frozen.....

Like skippin' a stone, or water skiing...You have to keep the speed up. I see these guys on ESPN once in a while, pretty cool.

Thurstons does support the speed limit. When I worked at Channel they were such a pain to deal with

Like Jon said......not every sled has enough balls to do it and keep doing it.......some can only go for a short distance.....then they sink .....the guy goes swimming in a snowmobile suit in freezing cold water and everybody laughs their heads off and has another beer.......and you think Im kidding.....!!!!!
