Re: 47 apache inxs
I have the INXS 47' apache in our shop in Ft Lauderdale. I sold it a year ago. We have had it in storage since. The new owner's business obligations have put it on the back burner. I also have the red 47' fountain with triple merc 1000's and 6 drives in the shop and it is available for sale. Awesome boat, nice shape, fresh power and drives, and a Myco trailer. A lot of hardware for $149,000. It is in the OSO classifieds.

Re: 47 apache inxs
I can give you a little history about the 1989 47' Apache "INXS".
The boat was ordered for John Gehret of Gehret Racing. Ralph Martin and I shared throttling duties and Bobby Shanblatt was the navigator. John sold the boat to Ted Sabarese who campaigned it one year and then jumped over to the Fountain camp. Roger Wittenberns, the Lady of America Spa owner, bought the boat and made it a Poker Run boat without the race engines and crash boxes. That's all I know for sure other than Pete Pavkovich has it now. |

"INXS" was never faster than "Little Caesars Pizza", just more reliable.

Re: 47 apache inxs
Back in the days when boats looked great...Long, Long flat decks and not a bunch of extraneous curves, humps, and platforms.. clean and uncluttered :D

Does Fountain include the swim deck when stating overall length ?? How long is a 47' Fountain minus the beak and swim deck ???? I've always wondered what the true measurement would be. If Fountain counts the swim deck and beak, then a 42 Fountain would not really be much longer than a 38 Cigarette(37' 6"). |

Re: 47 apache inxs
Oh boy  I'll re-stich the seats to say 38 then. :drink:

Re: 47 apache inxs
I thought the first INS was a 41 Apache, and the second a 47.
John told me that the 41 was much more fun than the 47. And more challenging. |
Re: 47 apache inxs
The 47' Apache Little Ceasers was converted to a twin stagger and painted white by some guys that were racing it , maybe Jim Horn, It hink it was last seen sitting in the Pompano Beach area. IMO it's wrecked now.

INxs, crankin' it up across Biscayne Bay. The triple engine 47 Apache once raced on the Superboat circuit, but is now owned by Roger Wittenberns of Fort Lauderdale, who goes on several FL Powerboat Club events. http://flpowerboat.com/pic.cfm?series=4&id=70 |
