Weight means nothing in the Fountains.They go faster with weight in the noses.

Nice job Sharkey!!

Never got to meet the Fiorre's (sp?) but talked to Paul on the phone for awhile before the Fort Lauderdale show. Interesting guy to chat with. I was bummed I didnt catch up with him in KW, was really looking forward to it.

The new boat looked great! I hope it runs as well as it looks, if so next year will be interesting to say the least :) :)

i am not saying there are wrong, just in the overall safety aspect, you don't want windows that big in a canopy.. look at the new MTI's and you will see where i am coming from... they are the weakest spot on the canopy system...

The windows may look bigger than they seem from the outside.
Look at the pics from the inside, and the actual hole cut outs are much smaller.
Plus they have quite a bit of angle and thickness to them as well...

i saw the inside pics, that is what caught my attention, how much bigger they are than they need to be... some of the newer boats i have seen being built are in the 8-10 inch range... but you can still see everything.. too each their own, but for the highspeed runs i would want the smallest window i could make work, they collapse way too easy..

What HP are they running?

Also more detail about the fins? Airplanes have something similar called Vortex Generators. Are they for creating lift to get more boat out of the water for less drag? Why would they want to "break up the air" before entering the scoops?

I saw the boat on display in Key West, just a little blurry in the evenings. :drink:

OUTERLIMITS gave me full access to go anywhere in their shop I desired, and photograph anything I chose to.

I remember hearing from others that went to Fountain and said there were some areas "off limits." I don't recall if it was the lamination room , the R&D or both....

In my opinion, I am sure he restricts people from seeing everything. Maybe it's just an Insurance issue who knows?

But this thread is about OUTERLIMITS.

Let's keep the Fountain stuff on the Fountain thread.... ;)
