Re: Inside Outerlimits
JC,
I'll ask him. We were getting caught up in the shop with only about 2 weeks worth of work on the board, after PRI we are back to 5 weeks. I will ask him. Tim, Stan said his boat was one of yours. Stan is at Stef's by day and then at Kurt's 3 or 4 nights a week. If you want to bust his ballz about the boat give him a ring at 732 367 8700. He said you know your stuff when it comes to boat building. Chris |
Re: Inside Outerlimits
Jeff,
Stan said your pan is leaving next week. The guts are going in as we speak. Chris |

Re: Inside Outerlimits
And into the fray. An outerlimits kicked major butt in Key West. Media Master, an old 37 was all over the rest of the field, winning the P-2 championship and beating all the P-1 boats in the process. See, they forget to ban one.

Re: Inside Outerlimits
There is a whole other thread on that topic and the truth was finally brought out on it....
No need to discuss it on this thread. I'm hoping to keep this one more on the boats and their building practices as possible... :drink: |
Re: Inside Outerlimits

Here is an explanation on Vacuum Bagging for those that may not know the term or what it is: Vacuum Bagging 101 By Garrie Hill This page explains the basics of vacuum bagging. Vacuum bagging is used to remove the voids and air pockets from a multilayer composite layup, and to remove the excess epoxy. This technique helps to ensure a strong and lightweight finished product. In the drawing below, the nylon bleeder fabric allows the epoxy resin to soak into the breather fabric when the layup is vacuumed together. The part is bagged and sealed, and the vacuum pump is run at least until the part has partially cured. Heating the part to around 100 degrees F will accelerate the curing. The nylon fabric, also known as "peel ply" peels easily off of the molded part after curing. care must be taken to keep the epoxy out of the vacuum pump. Clcik here for Vacuum Bagging page. |

Thanks Bob!
I like the name on the blue boat. "'Nuff Said" :drink: |
Re: Inside Outerlimits
That blue boat was the first 42 GTX, Mike's boat that went on to become Jus Truckin. Probably the best 42 GTX ever built.

Re: Inside Outerlimits
Anymore on that 45 V, maybe it is replacing the 47V, right between their 42 Quatro and 51, awesome machines.
