Re: Inside Outerlimits
Mental,
The 600's havent been around as long, but we have several boats that have put over 100 hours on each, and no major malfunctions yet. The Ilmors work well in the 39 as well. Back4More, The 39 you pictured runs very well. 108 to be exact. It had some handeling issues early due to the first tripple set up in a 39, but the bottom was corrected to compensate for the weight, and now the boat runs strong. The tripple engine isn't my favorite package in the 39, why add 1200 pounds to a boat that only weighs 8800? You can make that up in horsepower more efficiently. |
Re: Inside Outerlimits
animal you're the mann, now get to work!!!!!

Re: Inside Outerlimits
Yes I went to Outerlimits yesterday and spent the day touring there plant and talk about attention to detail saw all the boats that are almost ready for the Miami show and if any OSO members are going to Miami check out the Outerlimits booth the new 45 is just AWSOME! and the 51 they have for the show needs a taker but just out of my leage. They have a lot going on up there and some top secret projects I did not take any pics for the respect of OL we all can see them at the Miami show. I got a good look at the Kilo 47 boat Awsome. also saw the All Fired up Boat 2004 42GTX that up for sale talk about clean what-a-deal. I have to go back to the 45 talk about head room you have to see it and you have to see all the attention to detail in this cabin Holly Sh!t is it nice. its like a 5 STAR hotel no difference. Good luck to the owner of that boat......

I had a similar camera before this until it went for a swim at one of the Poker Runs. :( It seemed to have a red eye reduction that worked great. It would flash twice while taking a photo. This newer model, I can't seem to find that setting, and the pics taken indoors seem to come out as if I was shaking the camera... :( Not as happy with it as I was with the previous model... |

Ultraviolet, visible, and infrared radiation are really high in the newer Halcyon, hence red eye and shaking cam. effect. This is a real tough enviroment to shoot in for light balance; natural color temps are almost impossible to achieve with most consumer auto cams, even high end "pro" dig cams will have trouble in a factory setting.... Short: It's not you or a bad camera.... Both are doing pretty well indoors considering the lighting conditions! :drink: |
Re: Inside Outerlimits
WOW!!!
Never considered all that! |
Re: Inside Outerlimits
Bojoe,
Any pics that you can post??? A trip is in the works for me to go back up there soon. I should probably bring extra batteries for the camera as well. With all due respect, I will only post photos that OL authorizes me to take.... Looking forward to going there once again! |

The cat is actually old news. You can actually tell that Michael Peters helped Mike and staff with the design. The new cat shares a lot of detail with the Platinums that are designed by Micheal Peters as well.

Re: Inside Outerlimits
Is that the new cat...and where is that pic of?

Byrdman,
The pics I posted of the 40' Rage built by Platinum Powerboats. I was saying that the lines of the Platinum and the Outerlimits are very similar. I was told Outerlimits had Micheal Peters aid in the design of this cat. Here is the rendering pics of the Outerlimits 50 cat that was posted a few pages back. |

Perhaps you can make it clearer of what boat that is in the Post 191. It is not the OUTERLIMTS CAT and at a glance everyone is thinking it is.... I was at the plant just last month and it was still in the moulding stage... It would shock me if they had a boat out of the moulds by now, but then again, didn't they build a boat start to finish with paint and all in a total of 7 days???   Good thing they have the oven!!! :drink: :drink: |
Re: Inside Outerlimits
no the boat is still in the mold. i think dennis is just asuming it will look somthing like that becouse mike peters has dialed in that design. but he is still guessing . :D

Re: Inside Outerlimits
Bojoe, Sharkey,
I only reposted computer rendering pics that were on post 18 by board member rbr2328. He posted these pics stating they were the Outerlimits. If it is not I apologize. The other pics I posted of the blank hull were actually of the Platinum designed Rage hull. I was stating that the two had very similar lines. If I reposted pics that were false I apologize. |

The pictures DPT posted are NOT the new OL cat.... There are no pics of the OL cat because there isn't one out of the moulds yet... Be patient. Perfection takes time.... :drink: |
