Mine runs 75mph with very mild 650HP's and IMCO drives. I wrote the boat off years ago as being slow and thought that it would never respond to updated power and drives. I was wrong. The boat has had some weight taken out of it and with mild power is a lot of fun to drive in rough water.

course i'd be partial to the line of the s type scarabs; not much of a fan of the flat deck boats. its gotta be said though that the rigging of the wellcrafts and chris crafts and formulas generrally needs to be brought up to a better standard along with hull deck attachment. that's what make for great projects though.

Ex Harwk 40 were you and your son down at LOTO , If so I think I talked to him at shooters. Beutiful old boat, I'm partial to the ols shcool look myself, with a 79 Scarab 300 , also a tank.
