I looked at this a few months back, but once i got into the 400SS I felt like I was still in a cruiser, kinda grampaish no, they seem like nice boats, very comfortable, but you still cant get them to go 80. Good luck.

Yeah, but I bet you could get the Donzi 41ZSC up to 80 with the surface drives.

I don't see it on the Donzi website anymore though. They only list the 39ZSC. There was no significant boat difference, just an extended swim platform to cover the Arneson ASD8 drives.

The 400 SS is sportier than Formulas PC series, but it IS an express cruiser more than it's a high performance machine.

I actually liked the Donzi better vs the Formula, just personal preference. I also liked the xtra storage or call it a aftrberth behind the steps. Plus and minus to both boats, but you can get surface drives on the Donzi.

The Donzi is nice but I like the Formulas cockpit better and it will sleep 4 better. Plus the Donzi has 10 inches less head room and I'm 6'5".

That 6'5" issue changes things. I thought the DONZI had 6'3" and the Formula 6'2" . Have you driven in either one in 2' or better seas.

I haven't been in either in water, I did ride in a 370ss and it wasn't bad. I have had performance boats the whole time, so all big slow boats feel the same. Even if I love it or hate it I'm only gonna have it two to three years then I'll get something else.
My wife want's to have a boat we can take her parents out on, her dad has loved all my boats but I can't get her mom on the Nortech. She almost fell off the dock when I started one motor. They are in their upper 70's so it will be cool to be able to put them around with the silent choice on . I had silent choice on the Sonic but her mom wears a wig and go fast boats and wigs don't mix.

I like the way the bench/sun pad on the Formula better than the smaller fixed sun pad on the Donzi.
