Where's the video of the cat that catches air and heads for the spectators boat? Lets not for get the OSO Gladiator that got hit last yr. I don't recall seeing any post on here about how those 2 incidents were going to raise our insurance rates. And those were in rough waters, faster speeds, TONS of spectators nearby. Recall Sunseeker's scare while watching the race?

Don't be casting stones across the 'pond' when we have our on pond right here.
I agree and I thought the video footage was excellent.

I think what Will meant was even though as performance boaters we dig the speed, in the hands of somone that will twist the "intent" of the video to use it against performance boaters as whole. same as the people in lake Winni use distorted facts....

why do insurance company's charge more for a cat than a V with the same power?
higher risk? or more accidents that are made aware just by the boats top speed?

Exacty!
all it takes is a group of people getting together to complain about something and the next thing you know there's another law in the books.

Thanks, pretty interesting boat and power... Not much of performance boats manufacturers in Europe right?

Me, passing our camera boat 6 feet away at 71mph, is clearly dangerous and unacceptable to you lot, but in a thread posted tonight on OSO, there's talk of a 46 Skater that runs 223mph! lets say he regularly goes boating with 4 or 5 people on board. Are you seriously telling me that the life of those occupants isn't at a higher risk than the people in the making of my video?

utter tosh!

it's OK to do 223mph coz it's cool, and you'd all like to!

Any insurance person who saw that boat pass, however far away it was, wouldn't EVER want to insure the occupants lives, would you?

so get off my case.

It wasn't even me who posted the video on your site!

BTW anyone who wants to see some vids, check out www.boatmad.com and go to 'multimedia' (or the forum)
Must be talking about Byrdmans boat
