Nice folks. Two sisters run it. Their brother also lives there.

No, I did not buy the 38-foot Flatdeck. Just too heavy to tow.

While I would love to have a 35-foot "wave crusher", I would have to keep it in a wet slip. Slips on Travis are very expensive. Dry stack is also available for a 29-footer or shorter. I plan to go to the Austin Boat Show next week and do some "slip shopping".

Let's put it this way... If I budget $800/month on boat payments and storage, do I want to spend $400/month on a boat payment and $400/month on storage (wet slip)? Or should I spend $600/month on the boat payment and $200/month on storage (dry stack)? Or. something else?

If I am willing to trailer the boat, then I can spend $600 on the payment and $100 on storage and put the other $100 in my pocket! :D

It's all about options...

Yea, something will always come up to take that $100 out of your pocket though, hehe if its not the boat, your g/f will see a fur coat that she can't live with out in the middle of the summer!(or is that just mine? ) I feel that you are on the right track 29' will be right on for your needs besides should you change your mind its probably eaisier to sell a newer 29' or trade up, than it would be to sell a much larger older boat, with the proper investigation and surveys you should be fine, spend all the x-tra money on surveys you need, Ive never hear of anyone down the road saying dayum I spent wayy too much money checking that boat out. and the previous post was a compliment. :drink:
