If you want to run 75 MPH ANY DAY, and push 80 on a good day with stock efficient small block power and be able to dazzle the ClayMates at the dock, find yourself a P-29 Scarab. As you have already heard from responses, the 29 Scarab takes the big water, and has a decent size cabin. The loan payment is not that much more to get twins, and believe me, you will not regret going that way. But make sure you get the P-29 - I owned one for 2 years and loved it. PM me anytime. I know where there is one for sale in great shape (100 hours).

If you are running on rough water, you should really consider the bottom running length of the Fountain compared to other boats out there Nothing against Reggie - he has the fastest V-Hulls made, but if you want a true 29 or 30 foot bottom, you may want to do your homework. If you want to sacrfice ride for speed - get a Fountain, however, if you want to please the Claymates, look for a boat that does not have the notched transom. When you get in the rough stuff, longer is better, and the ClayMates will agree...
