This so true. You can always just take the Whipple off her. I'm sure with the above scarab being a 509cid now and bigger cam it will still run reeeeealllll GOOD!

I had a Whipple-charged 502 on my 22-foot bowrider. I had ZERO problems with the Whipple. I broke the "floor" in the forward gear twice, but that's another story...

I'm sure you've looked at all the 29 scarab's on boattrader but the twin 350's would be a nice package
Good luck!

The scarab is a much better package ,,, much more user friendly and will perform just as well ,, is bigger inside and will ride better ... at ,,,, less cost !

I'm biased also. The Scarab is the way to go. Handles the rough stuff great and single engine will get you less maintenance, better gas mileage. It has a 110 gallon tank and he can go a long way on that considering he puts in almost right across from the cove.
Also has a nice cabin, cranking stereo, porta pottie for the honeys if needed. Not including a BIG covered engine hatch!!

I plan on having a good summer if they get there crap together and get it out of the race shop. Computer had to be sent off to Mark at Precision for some more fine tuning and then back on the dyno again.
Tha boat is clean but it does need some cosmetic work. The only thing stock on the boat is the hull.
Its been garage kept since 96 when i bought it brand new!

I've sold and run both....Scarab's gonna' ride softer. Twins are typically going to handle better at speed( 2 counter-rotating props vs. 1 large pitch prop / 2 skegs vs. 1 skeg). The Scarab also comes in a twin SB/Bravo model, too, which runs well. It, too, can be a sinker...trust-me. The 29 Fountain w/ twins can get up on the pad and chine-walk, till you drive through it .
