Back in it's glory days the drives and k planes (small car hoods) were painted gold, you can see it under the peeling paint.

Back in the old days, the racing number would stay with the boat when it was sold....that can be used to track some of these boats through the series of owners.
Betty's Cigarette was owned by Dante Tagnoli who raced it as Dante's Inferno...the number stayed after the sale.
