The boat already has boxes on it. The previous owner had shorties on it but he took them off before selling the boat. Right now the propshafts are about 6 inches below the bottom, the hull has a notch and the boxes after that. If -2 is too much, I can always use a spacer to bring it down a little. Shorties seem to be in short supply right now. I called Tres Martin the day after he listed them and they were gone.

This is the best price that I've found so far, brand new. Maybe a group buy from Cp Performance is in order. I need two and two short vertical shafts. Does anyone know if Fred (Trick) can get these? He usually has great prices too.

the case comes as a kit with the short shaft - Stern Drive Specialties gave me a better price than CP

yeap fred can get them I bought one for my boat for christmas, 2'' shortie but I have to buy a used drive, mines a 1988 gen1 so I NEED A 90 UP drive gen2 but I am sure fred can get you guys a deal if you order a bunch post a who wants a shortie post right here you are talking about 5 so far here and if has spaces too from a 1/2'' upI can't wait to try mine hope to pick up speed and handling I've got a labbed 26 b.
