Default Platinum powerboats / df young

I have a friend interested in a 40' Platinum Rage with BPM drives. I know everything I've read states it's one of the finest built boats available. Any info or opinions? They are beautiful! Have they built a poker run/ pleaseure version? I saw DF young in Key West. It was by far the most impressive, best attitude boat running!

Any feedback on BPM drives would also be appreciated.

I saw what I believe was the same boat your talking about at Ft. Myers dry pit last year. Very simple interior beautiful hull just plain looks fast sitting on the trailer. Couldn't take my eyes off of it all the time I was there.

BPM drives are used by UIM Class one boats, they should be strong enough

looked at one being rigged for turbines a few weeks ago, I am on my way to the shop now, if the doors are open, I'll take some pics.

Popeye is a Platinum, maybe he can shed some light on it for you. I know it is a slightly heavier layup then some of the other front runners. My friend Chris Harshfield's brother is on their rescue team, said their boat is 300 pounds heavier, not much difference.
