back to the Donzi vs. Fountain thread. Don't take the numbers that Big Thunder uses as an accurate measure of a sales price. mid 200's will have you into a 38Zr optioned nicely. I wouldn't buy a boat from there if someone else was paying for it. Shop around, find a dealer like some here on the board that have sensible pricing and will work with you. If you can't find one, come to Dallas and I can introduce you to a topshelp group of Donzi guys down here.

I personally love the Donzi, but it's the Big Thunder price that makes us want to look at the others that are less pricey.
$250K seriously?

Drives a hard bargan too..I've tried to buy several boats from her but no go. She did sell my 27 fountain on brokerage in about a week however and I do like her.

Here is a few facts you have to know before comparing a 38 Fountain with a 38 Donzi. The 38 ZR Running surface is 38ft overall length is 40ft almost closer to the 42 Fountain. (2) The 38 ZR is a true staggered set up with one motor on front of the other not half way. She is also a wide boat sitting at 8'8". I just came back from Sarasota and ran one in one of the worst conditions possible NW winds blowing at 50mph 58 degrees and 6 to 8ft holes in Sarasota Bay we ran at 70mph and had that boat out of the water more then I can count and not once did she chine, lean or bang hard, as far as resale The ZR is a new boat and I don't think you will see that many around used yet!
