Here are some pics of the new bilge and cowl paint on the boat. The pics dont really do it much justice. We also painted all the diamondplate in the bottom part of the bilge that you couldn't see without the lighting in place and I will have a new lighting system installed that will make it pop even more. Paint looks black at dusk and screams with either sunlight or incandescent light... should be fun when we hook up the other 4 lights placed around the bilge... once the motor gets back from JC, I will see how it looks then decide if I am going to do anything with the remaining white areas in the bilge.... maybe some moldable stainless or something like that while leaving the bottom of the bilge white so I can tell exactly where my new JC motor is blowing out oil :D ....

didnt take the pics... they were scanned in and burned to a CD... no clue how to make them any bigger.... :mad:

Alsacorp makes the paint...$600 for a quart kit :mad: It comes with all the different stuff you need. We cleared over the basecoat of black, then added in the multichrome and cleared it again... My guy had a trial coat that didnt work out too well but he did it over and it came out great. Under the hatch he put some larger flakes in the paint to make it pop even more. I will get some better pics this week.

Entire new paint job next winter :cool: I will be using alsacorp products on the majority of the boat. It will be one of the most unique paintjobs in the country. Just didnt have the $$$ to do it this year. :mad: |

no... right now the base will be silver pearl/blue and black or something like that..... the stripes/swoopes etc etc will be various color changing and multichrome paints.... unless I change my mind or get some other ideas. |

My motor will be silver pearl with candy blue V covers and F Arrestor. Should perk that bilge right up :cool:

that has always been my favorite activator and always will be bad a$$ i wouldn't have touched it but i'm sure it even looks better. good luck with it

Current paint on the boat is sweet... all pearl colors... just want to put my signature on it :cool:
Old School... my engine builder said he has been busy spray painting a couple shot 454s for some a-hole in DC.... he is working on mine now :D |

Mash, I wouldnt touch the paint. The boat is stunning just like it is. As you know, you beat me to that boat by two weeks. leave the paint alone !!!!

with no rub rail and a 1000HP blower motor , I have a feeling I will need some paintwork done this winter anyway :mad: :D |
