UIM boats run tops in the 150+ range. The average for a race is 110-130+ miles.
Thats why many consider them Top Dog.

One thing I did read once is that the Lamborghini co. originally started by making farm machinery. Then when the war started there was such a demand for steel and other raw materials that it was no longer profitable for them to build farm tractors and thats when they started building cars.....at least thats what i remember for some reason
You're right about the farm machinery, but Lamborghini started building cars because he was pissed at Enzo Ferrari. Mr. Lamborghini had a Ferrari that, in his estimation, was poorly built. He had nothing but trouble with it, the body and finish was lousy. He got into an argument with Enzo over it and he told Enzo that even he could build a better car. Enzo told him go ahead. So he did. The rest is history.

Didn't Ben and Bob run Lambo engines for a brief time in Warpath?

Hustler had a 50' with Lambos and Arnesons in the mid-nineties. Wild rooster-tail and 102 MPH with the engines loafing. Sound was very quiet at idle, but outrageous any other RPM. Was fun to drive.

If you watch the Freeze Frame OSO video the "Reverie" boat has Lambo power. The sound is unbelievable.

Don Johnson also had a Scarab with Lambo power. It was only like a 75mph boat but sounded like it would break 100.

Reverie....
