3600 , can get one by may , can you put the 496's in it, Doug said 125 is what they expect. that fast, the first one they rigged with 6's and 740's runs 150mph plus, that smokin, but with 496ho's insurance no problem, and nice looking boat, and 3200 pounds, . cant think of a faster hull right now, and as 3600 says, its the magic hull. wonder what johnny is thing with the 43 with sterling 1500's 200mph? supercat unlimited winner?

(126 supercat lite mti) and those are at race weights, they have to add weight to meet those weights... on a pleasure boat, the open cockpit might drag a little more, but they weigh less and have no restrictions... so i doubt they would lose much speed. you just don't see too many 525 pleasure cats because they all get bigger power...
so i do believe you can run 120 or so in a 30, 32 or 36 skater if setup correctly and a 39 mti and possibly a 42 (the 42 might be a faster hull despite the weight and longer running surface)....

I think a 525 pleasure cat would be the ideal cat due to it's reliability. I don't think I could get into scary fast cats anyway. Too much risk, too much money, too much insurance for no more than it could be used...
After boating on LOTO for over 30 yrs. now, from what I've seen, the big cats with huge power just sit more than anything. They just don't seem practical to take out and actually run the entire day for extended periods. I guess if you have the money, what the heck.
Did I mention that their pretty to look at though?
