Volvo trim indicator

I have Volvo 290 drives on my Magnum, and I would like to install mechanical trim indicators. Has anyone ever fabricated anything that will work? Thanks

I've got a little square box digital unit on my 290 drive...and yes I had trouble fitting it into the existing round hole.
