We added cnc ported AFR heads,Crane/Merc hydraulic roller cams, JE pistons ,crane ignition etc.
With only 7+ lbs of boost they produce in excess of 800hp per side pushing our 97 Gun 94 mph Gps.
Nice work!

Wow What kind of work did you have to do to get 840 hp?

I asked how the boat ran, they said over 100 but the bow was a little flighty???

The boat spent some time at my marina as a rack storage customer at the end of each season the past 2 years.

Ok, so I lied... Pulled out the real numbers.

496mag HO - 3.3 Whipple - 8lbs boost - 830hp / 859tq
6lbs boost - 753hp / 772tq

All new internals with JE blower pistons, Etc. Alot of headwork ported & polished, and alot of computer calibration work. This motor is a combined effort from Dustin at Whipple and Larry Peto in Tucson, AZ

I have another engine that just happens to be FOR SALE

496mag HO - 2.3 Whipple - 6 1/2lbs boost - 640hp / 694tq

Zero hours - dyno time only, JE blower pistons, rollers, etc. and has also had alot of computer work as well.
