I"m wondering if its a combination of wheight and hp and not just hp!

Yes, it is but IMCO rates the drives to 800 hp/tq behind a 10,500 lb boat, that's the problem.

Why rate it that high if it doesn't do what it's supposed to do? You're better off with XR's that are set up properly and cost half as much to replace if something goes wrong. Plus you're boating the very next day because parts are readily available.

I'd trade for XR's any day.
