Come on up to Chicago. We are just a little north of you.

Mid June it's nice enough to enjoy boating.

I hear that Clear Lake (in Houston) is a good place for "offshore" boating.

The Amite, Diversion Canal, Tickfaw, and Blind rivers should be ready this spring. Sun Buns at Pass Manchac should be OK also. Madisonville should be allright also. New Orleans and Slidell are out of the question as far as places to stop at though.

Basically all of the Rivers and lake Marpaus should be good by spring.

Just come on down. Its only an hours drive from Lafayette.

I live in Clear Lake, lot of fun runs here, we do an annual trip to Contraband in Lake Charles every May, about a 3-4 hour trip from here cruising the intracoastal. The website isn't updated yet but you can check it out. www.texaspowerboatassoc.com

Schubert's in West End (New Orleans) has a big sign up saying they are open (if not a little beat up). Also, I heard the Ticfaw 200 is on.
