I am a Nor-tech dealer. I have a pair of Merc 1000SC's that I can sell you for $40k. Then you have a faster Merc-powered boat below your budget. If you want to go with smaller horsepower and are concerned with your bottom line at the end of the day, go Merc or Nor-tech. You may spend a little more now, but you will sell your boat faster and for more money.

have you looked at innovation in sarasota fla, they built some stout pieces as well as full race engines and have a pretty good warranty.

Both have a long history of building some great offshore racing power.
