well one of the interesting things at the boat show was both Konrad and Mercury use ACE for ther new drive name

1) Konrad registered it first (as "ACE Outdrive")
2) Mercury was second (as "ACE Dry Sump")
3) You can buy the Konrad package now.
4) You can pay lots more for the Mercury package some time in 2007.
Looks like Mercury is losing on both fronts at the moment. It will get worse for them when final pricing comes out.

I thought the looks of the new merc drive was very nice and looked like a mini number six drive. The only thing that I noticed is that it can not possibly be faster though. Did you notice the very blunt nose on the drive? No bullet nose which I would think would be consideralby slower.
