My 41 with 850 SC's, #6 drives will hit 80 with the right water under it.......in flat water we see around 75.

Mine with 653's Zuls, running around 1000HP, full staggered #6's, race pleasure layup, with trannys runs 96 to 97 with Jonhnny T. running her, I hit 92 this past summer a few times. It ran 108 with Merc 1000's and crashboxes, at LAKE X.

Guess so....there aren't that many 41's I know of that can top 100.

Maybe give McManus or Saccenti a call and ask them. The boat weighs over 10,000lbs or so....at least that's what I've been told.

Remember, a big part of the exceptional ride in rough water comes not only from the length but the weight.....

Re: apache speeds?

Magnum Marks 41 runs close to 90 with 800's but his is a super light race layup with 3 place cockpit and no cabin. Oh yea it has #3's.

Re: apache speeds?

anyone know of any for sale without power but possibly with drives or gimbals? i know there are two it the classifieds here but one has nothing but gages and a cabin... and i think they are both slightly over priced... the bare hull doesn't seem too expensive!

Re: apache speeds?

its not an apache but kinda comparable as its a straight hull heavy azz boat of same length, were hoping to just barely break 100 with triple 960s in our 1990 42 cig revo, but with trips it prob weighs about 1300 more than apache.

Re: apache speeds?

engines should be finished in next 3 weeks, new drives are being installed as we speak...have a few other odds and ends, but should see water withint next month and a half hopefully.

Is that a decent price on an 87?

Nykamp 02-22-2006 06:36 PM

Re: apache speeds?

Yep, it's good no BAD history, I would call it cheap for a low hour, clean 41. There are also a few on Boattrader.com, theres one in Jersy and one in Miami. Good luck, if you want a side by side Kageman or Ultimate Warrior are nice clean rides. There's also a good short stagger here in add #1.

If you think they are overpriced now..wait till you start rigging them

Re: apache speeds?

You get what you pay for. this is for sale not cheap. 1550 hp. sterlings . #6 drives new headers. 6 man seat new paint run's 118mph world's fastest apache ever. $250,000 turn key. $110,000 hull an deck. those boats on line need work for that price $75,000 .you will put $150,000 in to them an still have nothing. that is why they are for sale with no power. If the boat don't have #6 drives stay away.

I was on Marks boat two summers ago.
With the 650s we hit 86 on the speedo.
I believe he does mid 90s w/ the 850s.
He's also running 3As.

Paulie,

The only way that boat will see 118 is on the trailer behind something that can pull it that fast bro. It wont go 118 stud....I wll bet with you though. Every MPH over 110 is worth a grand to you but every MPH under 110 is worth 5 grand to me how is your confidence now bro.

Excuse me, Steve: you must have made a typo.

I'm sure you meant to say that you ran 102 last summer, not 92!

Those awesome rides get passed in 1 ft waves but rarely in stuff over 5 ft.

By awesome rides I mean non-stepped over 40' Apache/Cigarette/Sabre. :D

Touched a nerve didnt I bro......put your money on the table I can back up my part since I only have to cover $8,000.00 at the max according to you, however in reality you need to cover roughly $40,000.00 you pick whoever to hold the cash and we will go from there. Nykamps 41 previously owned by ApachePete was the fastest one out there at 104-106 mph so whats your secret stud. Oh I know the ion thrust mizer machine whirlygig gives you all the magic yeah right. BTW I have a bridge for sale too.........

sean stinson 02-23-2006 05:29 PM

Re: apache speeds?

You better buy the boat Cestaro was trying to sell you at the A.C. boat show if you wanna run 118

375stinger 02-23-2006 05:42 PM

Re: apache speeds?

wasnt there a 47 with triple 1200 cobras called inxs that supposedly ran north of 110? we considered it before the cig project, thats the only reason i know about it. :D
btw, just some first hand experience on redoing boats in case you go that route so ya know all your gettin into.... if you redo an old one with not too wild power etc, it shouldny cost all that much. when we got the sunken 42 cig, we regel coated the entire boat all red...yes i said GEL coated not painted, put entire brand new interior replacing all the wood in the the cockpit and the cabin, as well as redoing seat bases, all handles, repainted fiberglass part of dash etc. new dash panels, new gauges, all new wiring, three new drives, three new gimbles, three new stainless marine big exhaust, three new 555c.i. 960hps, new mbquart/clarion marine stereo system,..etc..and the list goes on.. so basically started wit a hull and built from there, and will have about right on 170 into it including the trailer. :D just to give ya a rough estime of cost for redoin one if ya check around and find the lowest bids etc.....also should be cheaper fer a twin.

it was a 1990 trip outta st louis we got fall of 04, and started project as soon as we got it. had sunk and hadnt ran in a year or so when we got it. its the only trip engine revo ive seen without the 2 added nose fuel tanks to reduce porpoising.... :evilb:
