Terrible's 46' Skater running in Miami....
Here's a nice little video my lovely wife shot while we were heading down Biscayne Bay towards the Marriot on Thursday. That boat throws a MEAN rooster! :eek:

I was only doing about 70mph in that vidio. I had to drive easy being it is not my boat and if I broke it I would be in lots of trouble.. Tank did you get any still pictures of it

It's cool that they are still involved in performance boating, I know they race OFFROAD trucks as well. I remember them racing there Scarab In Key West in OPEN class back in the mid 80's

Yes their dad and the owner of this skater Ed Herbst were racing in open class in Key West when the dad was thrown out of the boat and hurt. Offroad racing is in the family blood. the Herbst family races in every major offroad race that happens and they win alot of them. This boat is a work of art. We should have this boat at the Lake Havasu poker run in April. I will bring plenty of Terrible Herbst t-shirts so everyone can get one.

We rafted next to them in the "Loose Cannon". After we tied up they let us check it out, it was awesome to say the least. As soon as we finished tying up they were tossin us shirts, they were a really cool group of guys.

fixed the terrible boat today and went out in biscayne bay. ran 154.9 on the gps. Not bad for the motors running on 1100hp and half tanks. Johnny Tdrove the boat and I just sat there and watched him run the boat like a ferarri. Now it is time to leave Miami and head back to the west coast

Yep, I'll be at the Havasu run, Lance is bringing his 40' Skater out too. I heard they are starting us on the north side of the island this year. That should make a fun course. :evilb: :D Yeah JT is a heck of a good guy. He was telling us some of the Miami Vice stories...sounds like it's going to be a good movie :drink: ( I might of heard that he's going to be out here in March, and maybe get to run Bobbit's Skater....??!?!?! :eek: should be big!!) |
