A lot of people have seen this photo of Don racing one of his "banana boats", a very narrow less than 7 foot beam boat that was very hard to control.
But, in this photo you have to understand that Don was racing hard, not to get beaten by a local hot shot in a Glaspar outboard boat.....see second photo.
Yup, he didn't want to get beaten by anyone.
