Not trying to start a fight here, but I have heard from a few people here on OSO that the 38' Powerplay "runs circles around a Top Gun."---That quote is from a very well respected member here on the board.

I think it's really personal preference. I am a Powerplay fan, but If I was looking to buy, I would probably buy the Cigarette, for mostly better re-sale value if you need to sell.

Midnight Express did a good job with the one they had in Miami, want to see how one looks rigged with 525's though instead of the OB's.

I saw the Midnight boat at the show and it looked ridiculous with the OB's. They push the rear bench so far bar it looked like you could fit a picnic table behind the bolsters. I suspect that Sunsation will have greater results with their F4 based on that 38 hull than Midnight will have with that exact 38 hull.

With the limited production run of 11 boats or so what would a clean 04 525/ XR 38 be worth?

I thought the mold for the 38 went to Sunsation and was stretched into their 43. Does Midnight Express have a 38 mold or is that 38 just a left over hull they got with the forclosure of Powerplay's assets?

If you don't mind me asking, why do you think that?
