Re: Strike Yachts
Stormrider,
If the "Strike" you speak of is the one built in Pompano Beach, Fl. it is a rock solid boat. The builder (Kenny) is a straght shooting guy and puts his reputation into every boat he builds. He lives on my canal and keeps a couple of Strikes at his home. I've been thru some of them during the build phase and they don't cut any corners.
Good luck!
Steve

I have a LOT of wheel time in a few 29's, and a fair amount in some nasty weather.... Think tuna tower height waves. That boat will take anything you throw at it, and more than your body can handle.
A bit wet in quartering seas, but nothing to get upset about. I believe Kenny has added spray rails now, should dry it out. The new transom is a major improvement also, wish we had had it when I was fishing one. Go for the 330 Cummins... She rocks with those. 30 kts, 13 GPH all day long, tops out 42ish...

My dad has the 46. SOlid boat, built like tanks. hes friends with the builder now. E-mail me if you want some more info. The 29 is a classic. awesome little boat. The new 33 and 37 WA are also really nice.

Re: Strike Yachts
Thanks for the reply guys.
My dad is thinking of this boat... again.
He was talking with kenny back in the mid 70s when we came out of the 44 striker. Its a great little battlewagon. Just looking for some of your opinions. He'll be going to the plant in Pompano in a few weeks to talk to Ken again.
I think it would be a great boat for how we use one.
What do you guys think of going bigger than the 330 cummings?
The 380 and 425 are the same size as the 330 electronic.
But I gotta say, cruising at 30kts is pretty damn good!
