I prefer Sterling Performance engines. Fountain, OL and myself used them for the kilo runs where reliability is as important as big horsepower. Mike's engines seem to have both.

I have not read the whole thread, but I have to throw Bob Teague's name out there. I know more than a few people that have had his motors and had excellent results with them. I know of a couple of 1000's he built that have held together VERY well, and they have been hammered on.

I voted other there are some good engine builders on the list but I'm going with RICHIE ZUL going on my third season and not a single problem.
