Unhappy Mini Hawk

Does anyone eles have any ex. with a 13. I have one with a 25 merc,trim.ss prop, and it still will only run 38. Am putting a 35 on this summer. ANy tips??

go to www.screamandfly.com you could hop up ur 25 and get a sizeable mph increase. id start with the simple, remove air box, boyesen reeds, raise comp, drill hole in mid fer exaust..

Search around this forum section and you should be able to find a couple of threads about the 13 mini hawk. I remember
responding to one months ago. I spent many hours as a kid roaming around the Islomorada-Plantation key area in a 13 mini hawk. ( even barrel rolled in it once. ) It had a 35 evinrude on it. As a kid I think it probably ran at least mid
80's But I would guess now probably a little closer
to high to the 40 mark.

go with a 50 hp merc and a merc racing 11x18 thro hubb clever . 6 in set back and that thing ought to fly. robbie .
