They put those nasty big ones on the bottom of bajas. I just had mine removed and i am in the process of moving it to the back. Ive heard you can lose (or gain in my case) 1-2 mph.

Best way is a nice stainless steel thru hull put thru the transom with a stainless steel sea strainer inside.
