always look for this message in any transaction from ebay...

eBay sent this message to Rob Freeman (offshoredrillin).
Your registered name is included to show this message originated from eBay.

if it does NOT include your name and your ebay username then it is NOT from ebay. For paypal, never log in on an email from them, paypal already has your password and pin, they don't need it again. those emails generally have password and keystoke loggers and will record it and send it to the crook.

I've gotten several scamers posing as E-Bay and PayPal.
I never click on any of the links provided. I always go to E-Bay or PayPal directly and then log in to check for messages.

Just like already stated, never trust your e mail for e bay and paypal alerts. Go directly to "my ebay" or to "paypal account"

why cant they trace there account and nail them

Ebay really does need a 1-800 so people can call. They co. has grown too big to not have a contact point on the phone

People who commit fraud are scum in my book.

The problem is that as this happens more and more on ebay the perception to shoppers and sellers is not a good one. People will start to shy away. The honest people will not bid as much and then ebays profits drop. If ebay gets a reputation for scamming and doing nothing about it they will go away. Looking at people with lots of feedback is not a help as that can be atificially changed/stolen.

I get all kinds of scam e-mails everyday. atleast one pertaining to e-bay and another pertaining to pay-pal.. Best is to ignore the e-mail and log onto www.e-bay.com or www.paypal.com directly NEVER click on a link in an e-mail, if there is a problem with your account it will still show on the REAL site...

I just purchased a watch for 395.00 and need to pay-pal the money or they will file as dead beat bidder.

My paypal account information needs to be up-dated and there is a link that takes you to somewhere in Nigeria.

If you don't pay for the WIDGET you purchased from so and so your e-bay account will be suspended.

It's getting ridiculous, but like was said, they are easy to spot..

I asked that guy on e-bay when and where I could see it... Never had an answer from him! So I guess he did not really want to sell the Donzi! BEWARE!!!
