I have a 43 Scarab & my brother has 2 38 Scarabs 1 is a Miami Vice edition the other is an Exell they both have kevlar hulls. The exell is stamped kevlar under the serial number & the MV has the letters kv under the serail number. I talk to Donnie Wadek about once a month (he was head of Wellcraft's Scarab line & custom/race division. He told me that every kevlar hull will have kv or kevlar under the serail number. My 43 is glass.

got this back today from wellcraft No way to tell at this point if a particular boat back then was made with Kevlar. In '79' Kevlar was not offered as an option on the std order sheet.
