I think you we're the recipient of my misplaced anger .most of what you said I do not refute. What I do take exception to is a reference , not made by you, about inappropriateness by Mike Fiore and ol. Sorry for the confusion!

I personally LOVE Outerlimits and would Enjoy to own one. Might even buy one someday if I don't find a Skater first. They are one of the best companies out there.

I also love Non Step boats and feel that if a company like OL put the time and effort into building a Non Step boat it would be Bad Azz. But why would they want to undo all the marketing that has been done by many in the industry.

Truth is Marketing sells in america, not just product. Look at monster energy drink! Its nasty, does nothing but hurt your body, and people love the Chit! :lolhit:

There also is nothing wrong with being skeptical about a OL or a DCB rollover. These are supposed to be some of the best boats on the water.

Yes the video of the Snowy Mountain Brewery is great.

We all have to agree that its nice to read Informative information from T2x and not just "marketing" or personal opinion. Wish there was more good info like this.

Theses two boats are probably the fastest v bottoms at this length. I know that they threw every trick in the book, (lower that 24 degree dead rise, pad, multiple steps) But the tuff has two of those three and way less weight to lug around.

I do not understand why it is 22,5 degree dead rise on Tuff faster than 24 degree? This boat ride on pad kell and not on Ve part of bottom.


What about Progression, is it fast too?

What is the published weight of a Outerlimits 29, as I find it hard to believe that a state of the art mfg, has a boat that weights what a 28 Pantera weights, add that the race boat must weight 4000 lbs. what speeds will it run?

Just read over on the sv29/illmor thread that the 29 is 3750 lbs. power for power and close on weight it looks like the Tuff is faster.

the more shallow the deadrise the more boat out of the water. Deeper V's (24+) will cut deeper in the water and also run rough water better then flatter more shallow V of 22.5 and lower. There is a trade off though, it all depends on what you want it for.

The same 30' hull Steve built that was first to break the 100 mph barrier in 1981, is still being produced today...and still performs extremely well.

Their new 39' with staggered 565's is knocking on the door of 100 (within 2/10ths), and with some more tweaking feel it will get there.

The SV29 Ilmor boat will weigh around 4650 lbs once completed and rigged. It does not weigh 3750 lbs as posted.
