T2X/ fantastic info you have provided the OSO members! Any idea where the Sutphen 38 bottom design originated?
Doc/ every once in a while I wish it still ran 105! |
It's a Sutphen 390 and it' 39 feet 6 inches in length. And Richie is the nicest guy you will meet. Just don't ask him to change anything on his boats, it won't be a pretty sight. He will tell you just what he thinks.

It originated in that bottomless pit known as Richie Sutphen's mind...... Come to think of it... He's from New Jersey too (Lake Hopatcong) and man! could he drive a 7 liter hydro.....

His original 20 foot V hulls that he built in the late 1970's and early 80's are still running around on the lake.

Doc/ I have owned a 20, 26, 31 and now your old 39. Yep, Richie has original and I might add somewhat strong perspectives on the business! But hey, in the long run, it's hard to find fault with success!

Bob as I recall you were on "my boat"(your boat) with full fuel and 6 people last year when it ran over 100.

T2X, if Hustlers are copies of the Signature hull is that in your opinion good or bad.

Wow. 2AM and both of these threads are still going, T2x's "Cat" thread and "V" bottom thread. Hi Doc how are you?
|
Hey Philip, how was your summer? First day of fall is on Saturday

Hi Otto,
It was going great till three weeks ago. If you remember I saw you at the Dutchmen about 4 weeks ago, I had our 32' Skater and Rich came in with his 28' well the next weekend the powerhead on the port side decided it did not like the #2 piston and sent it thru the block. I might have a new PH by this weekend. Merc. is a little backed up getting 300x power heads sent out. Might see you out this weekend. How is that 36' of yours running?
