Ok Bill.... here we go:

1. Limit Vodka intake to a a gallon a week.

2. Stop hanging around with Cash Bar.

3. Start keeping regular hours.

4. Create a prospect list and work it.

5. Partner with a finance company. They are the only ones who make money in the marine industry anyway.

6. Expand into additional brands. Like PrinceCraft Pontoon boats and maybe houseboats.

7. Relocate to a body of water larger than a "Creek."

8. Secure websites for "Buyaprincecraft" and "Buyahouseboat."

9. Consider hiring a custom canvas guy to make biminis. Biminis are the new thing. The sun is a killer.
Besides... a bimini for a Pontoon boat is like a grand. :D

My marina is a dealer for 3 or 4 manufacturers of nice trailers. One of them is a price leader, but still a nice value in a trailer. I think I can sell new trailers very cheap. Cheaper than anyone, in fact.

The catch is

1. All of them are ordered but can be completed in 2-4 weeks.
2. Tight terms. 50% deposit, 50% upon delivery. Severe cancellation charges.

??????????

Well then, I'd buy from you. :)

Re: Question for everyone

been very happy with my Myco for the past year. I would only look at trailers now if someone made a lightweight inexpensive tilt trailer so it woudl be easier to tow are ft lauderdale.

They are a pain in the ass to store when they aren't under your boat, and MOST paople can borrow one for the few times they need it (straight bottoms). This is why the trailer gets barely any value when people are shopping for used boats that have a trailer available (aside from hydraulic trailers, etc).

You'd have to really be selling them at smokin prices to get alot of action I would think, but where's your margin when that's the case?

How do you get your boat back and forth to OK ?? Or is that the only time you do use it

Re: Question for everyone

My current trailer is old, but reasonably functional.(see oso garage). At some point I'd like to have the newer features- disc brakes, better bunking system and drive protection. I use my trailer a lot but not for many miles (lots of 60 mile round trips). Short answer, yeah I'm interested- Jeff

Re: Question for everyone

ours has been on its trailer for abuot 2.5 years after it sunk with the exception of 2 quick test runs, so the manning has done pretty good, but if it werent for restoring our boat we would never have use for one with a boat this size. if we were to buy another trailer it would definately be aluminum gooseneck, but wouldnt be a myco or anything custom or special b/c of the $$$.....on the other hand my 18 check trailer which we actually do use is pretty beat...if you can sell me a new alum. for 800 ill take it  :drink:
