Don't take it personal dude. I'm just sick of everyone battling over what boat is fastest, etc.

The best part of all this is enjoying the boat that YOU like (regardless of what brand) and being part of a very unique community of misfits :). The poker runs, races and all the professional partying we do as a group of new and old friends.

i am always amazed at what fountain can do with a 35 foot boat +4 ft of beak and 3 ft of swim platform ( 42 ) ft of over all length. i cant think of one other 35 ft V ( running surface ) boat that can handle and perform like a fountain, with that analogy you'd have to agree it is an amazing boat.

The new 2007 38 Lightning, "NEW" bottom, ITS, Shorties, Herrings & 600SCI's will run 105 full load (five people) and fuel. The 525 boat should scratch 100 although it is slower in the mid range. Our first new 38 came in today. We plan to put in water and test tomorrow weather permitting.

It says 90+ on the Bajas hatch so it must go that fast, no boat manufacturer would ever falsely advertise :D oh yeah the day we were there it had HOs in it.....

I hear ya. But I like this thread for its informative flair. I can compare hulls with what most probally would be my next set up instead of searching forever thru the forums. Its probally all old news to alot of you so bear with me. Maybe if I got a invite to these proffesional party's I would be too tired to post. :et:
