the beam on the 39 is 11' 6", we measured my friends to make sure it would fit in his pole bldng.they have droped the 39 and now make a 36 or 7 or somthing like that, i cant remember exactly.they do all boats in white and paint the graphics on.

They still make the 39 its called the 40 and the 38 is a complete new design they will make it any layup you want.48ft...11ftbeam 39ft...12ft beam 38ft...10ftbeam and deeper tunnel.

If you guys don't quit talking about how great these boats are ,I'm going to have to go out and fix mine and take it for a ride this weekend !! I wish it was that easy ! :(

When i left express the 38' was only 10' wide by tape at the widest point!So I could not tell you where the extra 10'' came from! There has not been a 39' built before 1995 when I was brought in there,and the 39' molds have been behind my shop for four years srunk wrapped. As Ross has quoted many times thats old technology I'll never build one agian!!

AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED THE 39'IS THE BEST DAMNED BOAT HE EVER BUILT!!!!!

hey vosciousone im still kinda new to cats, what boats ya buildin up there, i was at ross's shop a couple of weeks ago. had a good time , seems like a pretty good guy.i coulda swore we measured the 39 at over 11 feet wide, i think i had a defective tape measure or somthing, im sure your numbers a more coresct than mine.i will probably be up there next month or so , is your shop in thay area.

38 is a completely new hull and deck. It has a more streamline look than the classic 39.If I were to get rid of my 39 I would try a new 38. Don't know the weight differance. Anyone have any specs? Do I smell 3 pages?

I have an OLD sanger Alleycat with twin 2.5L mercs . redid the entire boat last winter. went balistic in the gaffrig catalog and had Glassdave do a KICKASS paint/graphic job on it. it runs around 80 now but I have a TON of motor in the water. I WILL get mid 90's next year. I also learned 2 important thing with this boat #1 DO NOT i repeat DO NOT buy a boat the day you get back from your honeymoon!! #2 If you are stupid enough to ignore rule on and she doesn't like boats and you spend around 20k redoning a boat without your new wifes permission HIDE THE DAMN RECIPTS!! If you fail to follow these to rules I do now have the # of a good divorce attorney :confused: :D :eek: :mad:
