Default Amp Troubleshooting

I have a rockford punch 500 amp, 4-5 yrs old, that worked when i took it out of my car, but now i cant seem to get it to work, where if any is the fuse on these amps, or what else could it be, i unhooked my buddies operating amp, and plugged this one in, still nothing, whats the problem?

does the amp have an inline fuse? are you sure the ground lug is tight, have seen that cause problems. Fuse should be on one of the two ends, very obvious.

Ground is good, other things work off the set up, the power wire has a fuse which is also good, however i cannot find the fuse on the amp, its not just out in the open, and its not under the cover

My Experience With Punch When They Don't Work Is Send Them Back For Repair Or Buy A New One. You Wont Find A Fuse.

Does the lead for the remote turn-on have power? Perhaps there isn't any power going from the head unit to the amp? As others have mentioned, make sure you check the fuses. If you don't have an inline fuse close to the battery on the positive side, you need to. Ground needs to be very good as well or it will not work. I'm not overly familiar with Rockford Fosgate . Let us know what you find.

Are there any indicator lights on the thing to tell you what's going on? Does it have power or just won't power up at all?
