Gino, sorry to hear this. Was lookin forward to seeing you in Sarasota.
Your health comes 1st, listen to the doctors or you won't need to worry about any boats.
Get well soon.

After some Xrays and test it turns out I wasn't having an asthma attack, I had congestive heart failiure and was immediatly admitted where i am still sitting for god know how long. After EKG's and sonagrams it turns out. My heart is only working at 10% capacity and it's 1.5 time larger then it's supposed to be. My lungs backed up with fluid fro the heart not pumping properly. Tomorrow or Tues I'm being transfered to a Hospital more equiped for Cardiac procedures. Next they do the fun, enjoyable catharasation where the send a camera to the heart.
I knew life got ruff over 40 but I would have assumed AFTER 40 not on the actual day! Anyway, I will not be in Sarasota next weekend.
It never fails, just when it seems things are going well, life is good, New boat to look forward to, life throws you a curve ball. Good thing it happend like this, it could have been much worse. I will post update when I have them.

I'm a EMT and CPR instructor so I think you should take me with you on all of your poker runs, especially in the winter when our lakes are frozen here in the fridged north. Take care, JB
PS. I'm glad to see you have a PC. to occupie your time, I'd hate to think you had to lay there and just look at all the nurses

OK Gino, new priority here for you, take care of your internal mill, this is one motor that ZUl or JC or Merc can't help you out with. I too have to get back in shape and get my ticker checked out. Get on it OK?

Good luck and take it easy. Do what the docs say. All this stuff is starting to scare me. I'll be 35 this year and I'm overweight and out of shape. You're only a few years older than me and there was a gentleman that passed away a month or 2 ago from this board from a heart attack at 42. Sorry I can't remember his name as I didn't know him. I think I need to make some changes to avoid this as I'm getting there. Get healthy and enjoy life!

hey lubejobs...I am living proof that what you have can be controlled...I am healthier now than I have ever been...I was down to 12-14%...60% is "normal"...I am @ 56+% now & do everything I ever could...btw...The catheter IS NOT a big deal...Your doc will probably put you on a diuretic (lasix?), aspirin, & Coreg...No biggy...Unless of course you need a heart transplant...THAT's another story...
