Looks like my boat was prefit with a depth sounder, the transducer is mounted to the bottom and the wire goes to the dash but it was never finished. There is no gauge, just the wire bundled up under the dash. Does anyone know what brand unit I need to attach to this transducer. The transducer is black with no markings on it at all, neither does the wire. The connector is a two prong, male square end with a square hole in one side that plugs into some head unit. Thanks for any ideas.

No, I have no head unit of any type. What I am trying to figure is what brand depth gauge/unit I have to buy that will be compatible with this transducer.

Not to contradict Warbird, but those transducers are NOT universal. They operate at different frequencies and must match the dash unit or the readings will be useless or non-existent. If the unit is more than a year old just buy a new unit with the tranducer that comes with it. Follow the epoxy instructions to the letter and you will have a nice operating, accurate set-up. Good Luck.
