Can anyone recommend a good surveyor in Maryland? A friend of mine is buying a boat up there and they are telling him $20ft to survey it.

Do surveyors typically do compression tests or is that a seperate mechanical inspection and surveyors just sound hulls?

Many surveyors will not do anything engine related and suggest a mechanical check also. Some will do the basics and a sea trial. If a mechanical insp is necessary and your surveyor won't do it, let me know, we can hook you up
