Finally bought my TG
2 Attachment(s)
Well it only took 2.5 years but I'm back! Just worked with a fellow OSO'er and closed the deal this afternoon. I'm really happy with the purchase. I have some work to do, since I'll be repowering with 525's (I do believe) but it's officially a done deal... what a relief!!!

congrats, cigs rock! i like the flag paint job even though the american flag seems to be in bad taste in some states these days. good luck with it, what drives and power are in it now? as stated above you might want a few more doggies than 525 a side :D

Stick with the 525's, you'l have a reliable and trouble free ride. JS |
Re: Finally bought my TG
Happy to hear it Jim. Keep me abreast of timeframes.

Re: Finally bought my TG
Thanks All! Don't mind the opinions about motors... I'm rally thinking reliability but don't want to be a slug. I have a wife and 2 kids so I'm not looking to be part of the 100MPH club, but would like to be part of the 80MPH club. Keep the advise coming... OSO is awesome for this!

Re: Finally bought my TG

Re: Finally bought my TG
nice !

Re: Finally bought my TG
You might want to go a little bigger than 525s' if your wanting to get 80. Maybe 600SC?
Congrats on your new purchase

Re: Finally bought my TG
Nice!
525's will not get you anywhere near 80mph. FYI mine runs 72 w/ 500efi's. I think 80mph is tough to get too w/ a full cabin TG and bravos. My 97 lipship, kevlar, covergirl cabin ran 80mph but was hard on drives and TONS OF FUEL! w/ 600's. Be happy w/ 74-75 , keep it turn key! |
Re: Finally bought my TG
Congrats! I like the flag scheme graphics. The lines on a cigarette can't be beat

As has been said you are going to need about 700 a side to get you to a solid 80. 525s should get you to 70 everyday and there is something to be said for reliability. |

Congrats on your new acquisition. Bet you'll love it.
Now if I could just get rid of my Bullet so I can splash my new Gun. John |
Re: Finally bought my TG
You can build up to 700-750hp naturally aspirated that will run 89-93 octane and not risk any reliability. You'll also get hundreds of hours on them.

Re: Finally bought my TG
Nice Ride! I agree with CigRocket, you can't beat the lines of a Cig! :drink:
