Default 37 outerlimits

What is your opinion on a 2002 quad step 37' Outerlimits with #6 drives. Good and bad. Handling, drivable, cruising.
Thanks

I'm not an expert on OL's but I've heard from many that you want to buy their 39 and up boats. The fact that they no longer make a 37 might tell you something - or not. Like I said, I'm not an OL expert.

The quad step 37 is pretty rare, I think only about 9-10 of them. Mike said its because the cost associated to build that is close to the 42. The boats run very fast, you have to run tab over 100-105 or so. Rode is one for 2 summers. I have also ridden in a 42, they were quite different.

The boat is awesome in rough water. Cruise speed is around 65 or so. The boat is a very nice riding boat up to about 105. We ran the boat 112 however it was a hand full, chine walked pretty bad. This issue could have been fixed with first smaller diameter props and a gear ratio change, 2nd option would have been to move the drives down a tad with spacers. Mike said the boat was tested at the factory at 117, but we never saw that. If you are referring to the OL Shogren has, this is the same boat I am talking about. Its an awesome boat, and attracts a lot of attention so be ready for that. For the money he is asking, it would be hard to find a better deal.

Dream yes that is the boat. Do you know the guy who rebuilt those motors. Scott told me that the pushrods should be replaced with better ones. If you have his info that would be great.
