We're off on Lake Champlain

We'll took the old rig out on the Lake today. It is the earliest we have been out on the lake ever, thanks to a mild winter...

I knew that global warming stuff was going to be good for something...

Outside temp around 62* and water at 37*...

Had Jeremy and Chris/cowisl with me, thanks for the help guys.

Chris took a picture of Niel/DryPipeTiger in Peru NY working...

Can you guys see him ... Chris said he was waving but I think he's exagerating a little...

Jeremy and Chris chilling...

Waiting for JS232 to photoshop something while he's at work on his computer with his boat still in storage somewhere...

Meanwhile they're relaxing getting a suntan and having a pop... well at least the loto system in Quebec is working...

So we gingerly made our way back amazed at the utter most dedication of these two guys on such a terrific day.

I really admire you guys having the discipline and "stick to it ivness" only truly dedicated worker bees like you can display... I know in our goal setting session in the middle of the lake basking in the sun, the end result was unabated admiration toward your unleashed working discipline...

Lake was the cleanest I have seen this early.

We went across to NY in front of Burlington a couple times to make sure all worked fine, took a little brake to enjoy the sun and made sure we where not to dehydrated...

Then zipped up to buzz the ferries north of Plattsburgh... we then went through the harbor in Plattsburgh and made our way back to Burlington.

We put in at the Coast Guard station downtown Burlington..

Did some boatless wonder say something from down south....

When your boat is in less pieces than the number of words you used in that usless post... maybe we'll listen.... sailor.

The closest you've been to a working engine you own in the last two years my midgety friend is the buffer in your shoe shine box. So apart from the brown and the black buffer wheels from your box you don't own sh!t.

Now bend over, grab your shine rags and get back to work before your mom finds out your loafing, and you conjure up a reason to miss another gathering...:drink:

GLH, according to the end of tiger-whine2 video, looks like you were not going fast at all if the speedo is right ! either not looking at the right gauge for speed, or, you added v-8 backgrond sound on a standing still video shot of the dash! So, were you really on the lake today ?

Pidot tube on the speedo is out from the Key West ride last November so reading on that is 0...new one is on order.

The GPS right beside it has a big old MPH number on it so that's good enough for me.

Yesterday was a tad flat for top speed run with my "old technology" straight bottom boat... there was a little chop (6" maybe) up around the ferries at Cumberland head and that got us our best MPH on the GPS.

Waves were good for the pontoon boat crowd like Tantrum and all...

Airpacker 04-11-2006 07:08 AM

Re: We're off on Lake Champlain

That looks like good high speed water to me GL :) The problem with your Cig and that "old technology" is that those straight bottoms come covered in velcro from the factory :)
